What to Include in a Wedding Invitation Card?
A traditional wedding invitation card includes the important details of wedding ceremony. It should include following elements:
- The Host: Usually, the name of the host must be included at the top of the invitation card, even for formal affairs. So, it’s important to include both sides’ parents’ names as the hosts on the invitation. For example, “Justin Smith son of Adam”, etc.
- The Request to Attend: Add a short note on the card to request your guests for attending your wedding. Such as “The Pleasure of your Company”.
- Names of Wedding Couple: You should not to forget to add couple names on the wedding invitation card. Formal wedding invitations issued by the parents of the couple refer to their first name or middle name.
- Date and Time: For wedding invitations, everything must be written in full form. Such as time and date of the wedding including day, month, and year for date, and use of a.m. or p.m. for wedding and dinner times.
- The Location or Venue: Usually, venues or locations are not important to add on the invitations unless the wedding ceremony take place in the host’s home. However, the street address should be important when you plan for a specific venue for the wedding.
- Reception Details: Generally, reception details must be added on a separate card. But, if there will be room, you can add reception details on the same card.
